I have visited many casinos since they reopened due to Covid 19. Dover is by far setting the standard for PRECAUTION & CLEANING. They are the only casino to have a card hanging out of every player card slot that reads 'this machine has been santized' When you finish playing, simply turn the card over and place on the machine, it reads 'this machine needs sanitizing' You will actually see. Available for almost any sized group featuring everything from gourmet dining to picnics in the park. Please call (302) 994-2521 ext. 7215 or (800) 351-7275 or e-mail us to plan your group outing at Delaware Park.

Restaurateurs Jason Davidson, Rocco Termini and Mike Shatzel of Liberty Hound, Tappo & Thinman Brewery are proud to welcome Buffalonians and visitors to the The Terrace at Delaware Park. The vision for The Terrace is to create an approachable yet unparalleled dining destination in one of Buffalo’s most cherished locations. For the first time since the late 1800’s The Delaware Park Boat House (AKA Marcy Casino) is open to the public for dining and cocktails under the culinary direction of Executive Chef Jamie Zynda.

The interior woodwork for The Terrace was custom designed, and fabricated to pay homage to not only the casino’s history, but to that of Hoyt Lake and the surrounding neighborhood. New installation of heart pine hardwood flooring, mosaic tile, rich walnut wainscoting as well as exposed brick walls and ornate fireplace are all warm details reminiscent of the area’s heritage. An arch and beam system was installed in the nave of the Terrace to enliven the long and vast ceiling void. The bar area of the new restaurant was created to have a feeling of coziness juxtaposed with the openness of the dining room and the natural surroundings of Delaware Park and Hoyt Lake. The front of the bar implements features of the covered seating areas that would have lined Lincoln Parkway during the casino’s prominence a century ago.

Casino Terrace Llc Company

The Terrace at Delaware Park is located on the upper level of the Marcy Casino across from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. The casino is situated between Hoyt Lake and the historic Rose Garden. Plans for Delaware Park were designed by renowned landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted in 1868. By 1874, Olmsted’s partner, Calver Vaux designed the original Boathouse where the Marcy Casino now sits. Due to popularity the boathouse was eventually enlarged, but sadly was destroyed by fire in 1899. The structure was rebuilt in time for the 1901 Pan-American Exposition that took place throughout Delaware Park. The current building was designed by Buffalo architect E.B. Green and was known as The Delaware Park Casino serving as a gathering place for residents of the city. Today it is the Marcy Casino, named in honor of the late Delaware District Councilman, William L. Marcy, Jr. who passed away in 1983.
